The Universal Legal Aid to Foreign Prisoners (ULAFP) is currently opening its base program in the name and style of "Legal Awareness and Dispute Resolution" to the common people, especially those willing to travel to other countries. The model program will start in Singair, Manikganj, Bangladesh. The Parliament enacted the laws but got no publicity to the common. Due to ignorance, people broke the law and sometimes committed offences unintentionally which got no excuse as per law. Human beings lose their dignity when they become imprisoned without his fault. So awareness building is necessary for helping the people. The foreign prisoners have to face painstaking due to the language barrier, differences in culture and unknown legal procedures. Sometimes foreign prisoners get released by the order of the learned Court but their consular office is unwilling to receive them and accordingly, they have to stay in jail custody even after they serving out of the punishment period. There are resolutions of the United Nations in respect of the protection of rights to foreign prisoners, thus the signing states are not much interested in following the guidelines of the United Nations. Now is the time to come forward to create awareness among the people to abide by the rules and regulations of the countries where they want to stay. Think of prisoners as a human being.

Who We Are

We, the enthusiastic persons of the world, intend to give legal aid to foreign prisoners who travel to other countries for work, study, business, or other purposes. Several cases involving foreign parties will inevitably occur occasionally. Because of the language barrier and differences in culture and legal procedures, they have to face painstaking experiences to get justice. We are also determined to save the human rights, peace, and dignity of the people as well.

What We Do

At present we are doing-

(i) To establish, maintain, and manage all the affairs of the UNIVERSAL LEGAL AID TO FOREIGN PRISONERS independently with a view to enhancing legal protection and care from holistic perspective and increasing human peace and prosperity endowed with wisdom.

(ii) To provide legal aid and other allied support services to the foreign prisoners imprisoned in the different countries and main streaming in their societies as human being regardless of age, ethnic origin, ability, sex, belief or political affiliation.
